The weather was great, we had a packed house and everyone had fun. The purpose of the “Dudley’s Beach Party” is to remind people that it can still be fun to be involved in politics and our 150 plus guests at Dudley’s had a blast. We run old-time, grass-roots campaigns, and as I always say, “politics is in the streets.” If you want to win you need to get out and chat directly with people. Last night it was clear at Dudley’s that our 2013 campaign has the energy to run a terrific grass-roots campaign, and you can be sure we will be out in the streets of New Rochelle and Pelham. I’m very proud that we had diverse guests that included Republicans, Democrats and Independents. We thank County Executive Rob Astorino for joining us, and Rob shared some positive thoughts about our campaigns with the big crowd. As I gave my brief speech, I was so honored to see people in the crowd that supported me in my very first campaign in 1995, and I’m incredibly lucky they are still with me 18 years later. Thanks to everyone who attended or sent a contribution. It’s an awesome feeling to have the best supporters in Westchester politics! (We will be posting photos soon).
